Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Specialist

Job Requirements:

Apply technical knowledge to determine solutions and solves complex problems.
Strong best-practice design skills and proven experience in designing processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Usability work planning. reviewing specifications, and interpreting usability data.
In-depth knowledge and experience with user research methods and application, including usability, ergonomics, behavioral data, and design/market research methods.
Provide consultation during various phases of the product development lifecycle.
Develop conceptual models, process flows, navigational maps, and strategies.
Dedicated to ensuring high quality user experience.
Drive process and define the user experience for complex Web-based enterprise applications.
Deliver work-flows, design specifications, and prototypes.
Analyze, design, and specify the architecture for successful user experiences.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to continuously improve the website.
Experience with workflow and usability analysis; experience designing solutions to usability issues.
Knowledge of user interface design processes, methodology and challenges.

Technologies:

Experience with web technologies and tools such as application and web servers, HTML, XML, JavaScript, JSP, CSS, and Flash.
Extensive knowledge of relevant W3C standards and specifications.
Experience with commercial software development highly desirable with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Interface design experience, preferably with Windows-based applications.
Experience designing enterprise web-based business software, preferably in the workflow domain.
Extensive background in user interface, product and multimedia design, scripting and knowledge of prototyping and multiple platforms to develop software interfaces.
Experience with evaluation technologies to perform usability studies (Statistical Analysis, Ergonomic Modeling and other Human Factors considerations).
