DBA / SQL Developer
Job Requirements:
-
Experience in formal systems development lifecycle including experience with
requirements, functional design, technical design and testing.
-
Strong experience in client-server development required, strong Web development
Skills.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational skill.
-
Provide senior level technical support for physical database design and assist
application developers in applying DBMS technology in a Web environment.
-
Participate in documenting database strategies and architecture.
-
Troubleshooting client production issues related to the application and
providing support for high availability solutions.
-
Develop, test, implement software that are related to databases and/or
application.
-
Ability to work effectively with highly technical staff, as well as business
and management personnel.
-
Monitor the performance of production systems and utilize appropriate tools to
identify tuning requirements.
-
Provide on-call 24 X 7 support for mission critical databases and environments.
-
Focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
-
Computer science education or equivalent experience.
-
Experience in a development environment, analyzing, designing, testing, and
implementing distributed systems.
-
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, work well with a team.
Technologies:
-
Administrative experience with commercial relational database in a production
environments.
-
Strong experience with HTML and CSS coding, demonstrable understanding of JDBC,
EJB, SQL.
-
Experience with SQL Server 7.0 and SQL Server 2000 required, Oracle 8i and
Oracle 9i a plus.
-
Skilled in all phases of database design and implementation, including
experience with large, high performance systems and complex stored procedures
and triggers.
-
Experience developing database standards and guidelines.
-
Advanced SQL programming skills, with ability to write complex queries,
scripts, and DTS packages.
-
Content Management Experience.
-
Database performance tuning skills.
-
Work with medium sized (~100G) databases.
-
Knowledge of relational database administration (creation, backup, tuning,
security, access control, intrusion detection, data and schema migration,
high-availability configurations etc.).
-
MCDBA Certification a plus.
